Manasi Jambhrunkar specialises in designing new nanomaterials for immunological applications
New nanomaterials have unbridled applications in health care industry to improve human health. Immunology has found to be major upcoming field with nanomaterials playing a major role in boosting the effect of antigens thereby strengthening our immunity. My research focuses on synthesizing nanomaterials and studying the effect of various structural characteristics and its influence on the immune response.
Manasi Jambhrunkar completed her Bachelors in Pharmacy and Masters in Biotechnology from Mumbai University, India. She joined Professor Michael(Chengzhong) Yu's group in 2013 to pursue PhD studies. Her research interests are immunology, cancer immunology and nanomaterial designing for various in-vivo and in-vitro applications. Manasi was a part of AIBN ASA in 2013 and enjoyed arranging various extracurricular activities with the other ASA members. She has also worked as a tutor for various Pharmaceutical subjects in School of Pharmacy, The University of Queensland from 2012- 2014.
Manasi Jambhrunkar is currently completing her PhD under supervision of Professor Chengzhong (Michael) Yu.
