Epigenetics, DNA methylation, bioinformatics
Jennifer Lu's research is mainly focused on creating bioinformatic tools to enable researchers to study DNA methylation and epigenetics.
Jennifer completed BSc(Hons I) in microbiology focusing on the characterisation of a novel insect specific flavivirus (Palm Creek Virus) in 2011. She returned to UQ in 2013 to undertake my MPhil focusing on creating bioinformatic tools for analysis of DNA methylation in the Centre for Personalised Nanomedicine. After completing MPhil, Jennifer continued her PhD in the same centre, this time focusing research on the 3D topology of DNA.
