Theoretical design of alloy catalysts for synthesis of graphene and boron nitride sheets
The main purpose of the project is to design alloy catalysts for the controllable synthesis of high quality and large area graphene and hexagonal boron nitride films which is essential for their practical applications in electronics and energy storage. The growth mechanisms of graphene and hexagonal boron nitride on alloy catalysts with different metal components and compositions will be studied by theoretical calculations to determine the optimal alloy catalyst and growth conditions.
