Hima's research interests lie in the field of Material science focusing on Nanomaterials and Nanostructures, Polymer science and Nanocomposites

Her current project is based on the development of 'Sustainable Building Blocks' using polyurethane foams from environment-friendly products for higher performance and better living.

Hima obtained her Bachelor's in technology in Nanotechnology from SRM University, India (2014). During her studies, she was awarded the Erasmus Programme scholarship and spend a year as a visiting student at the Universite de Montpellier 2, Montpellier, France; Universite de Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France; Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague, Czech Republic. Later she completed her postgraduation in Nanomaterials from the University of Sheffield,  United Kingdom (2016). She has previously worked on nanoporous silicates and clay nanocomposite coatings during her graduate studies.
