Hima's research interests lie in the field of Materials science focussing on Nanomaterials and Nanostructures, Polymer science and Nanocomposites.

Her current Project is based on the development of 'Sustainable Building Blocks' using Polyurethane foams from environment-friendly products for higher performance and better living. Hima graduated with Bachelor of technology in Nanotechnology from SRM University, India (2014) as the valedictorian of her batch and completed her post graduation in Nanomaterials from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom in 2016. She was also a visiting student of the Erasmus Mundus Membrane engineering program in Universite de Montpellier 2, France; Universite de Paul Sabatier, France and in Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague, Czech Republic.
