Synthesis of Hyaluronic Acid - Based Hydrogels and Polyisocyanopeptides for novel hybrid Extracellular Matrix (ECM) networks.

The mechanical properties of cells, such as motility, morphology and migration, are governed by a 3D dynamic environment known as the extracellular matrix (ECM). As such, cells are capable to physically change or move to fit this environment. In this project, different synthetic 3D hydrogel-based models containing Hyaluronic Acid (HA) will be synthesised. This work will contibute to the study of  2D and 3D cellular mechanisms in melanoma brain metastasis.
