Perovskite solar cells, nanostructured heterojunction electrodes for solar fuels and water treatment and electrochemical synthesis of functional nanomaterials

Dr. Jung Ho Yun has mainly been focusing on Flexible Perovskite-based Solar Cells with lead-free and low-cost process as a part of CRC-Polymer project. With his experiences for Functional Nanomaterials and Photoelectrochemical (PEC) System, he also has an interest on developing Novel Heterojunction (Photo-) Electrodes for the Integrative PEC system, simultaneously performing Solar Fuel and Water Treatment Process.

Since 2013, Dr. Jung Ho Yun has been working as a postdoctoral research fellow at School of Chemical Engineering, the University of Queensland (UQ). Before joining UQ, he completed his bachelor and master research in Kyung Hee University in Korea, and afterwards he had an industry career as a research engineer for around 5 years at NANOPAC Co., Ltd, Korea. In Australia, he completed his PhD degree in School of Chemical Engineering at the University of New South Wales in 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Rose Amal. During his PhD, he studied on solar energy conversion applications such as dye-sensitised solar cells (DSSCs) and PEC system using the electrochemically modified 1D-nanostructructured photoelectrodes.
