Dr Marianne Gillard completed her PhD in 2014 from the University of Queensland. Her work focused on transiently transfecting mammalian cells with novel nanoparticle polymers. Extensive work was performed on investigating attributes of the ‘best’ transfection agents as well as internalization pathways of such agents within the cell. Over that past 10 years she has been heavily involved in the development of stable cells expressing a variety of recombinant proteins ranging from antibodies, bispecific antibodies, antigens, and fusion proteins. Several of these recombinant proteins have been taken though to Phase 1 clinical trials. Marianne’s extensive experience in research and in biological manufacturing is valuable in her role as Data Quality Officer, in which she oversees Quality Assurance related processes to support high-standard delivery on translational research projects.
