The sixth in AIBN’s Thought Leaders’ dinner series took place at Customs House in Brisbane on the evening of Thursday 1 May 2014. Attendees at the dinner included a strong contingent of senior members of AIBN staff, along with guests representing executive management from a range of local, interstate and international companies.
Special guest speaker for the night was Mr Jim Kalokerinos. Mr Kalokerinos has over thirty years’ experience in sales, marketing and business development. He has worked with chemical, laboratory distribution, in-vitro diagnostics and medical devices compa¬nies. He has held senior management and board positions in Australia and internationally.
Jim was co-founder of three companies – Techlab Enterprises, Pacific Diagnostics (sold to Baxter International, a Fortune 500 company), and Panbio Ltd (ASX: PBO, sold to NYSE listed Inverness Medical now Alere).
He has over twenty five years’ experience as a Company Director and has held Non- Executive Board positions with various high tech companies both in start-up, and during commercialisation and growth.
Jim has been an active venture capital investor for over ten years having directly invested in various early stage technology companies and is a Director of Brisbane Angels Group Ltd and a member of the investment committee for Terra Rossa Capital.
