Raluca specialises in nanomedicine, focusing specifically on cancer research and immune-evasion
Raluca is a PhD student with the Wolfram group at the Australian Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology where she is currently exploring extracellular vesicle interactions in a breast cancer model. Shedding light on the complex role of extracellular vesicles in cancer is vital to revolutionize nanoparticle based therapeutic and diagnostic techniques.
Raluca graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (Honours) with majors in Japanese and Biomedical Science (2018-2021). She completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) with the School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Queensland.
