Yilun specialises in encapsulation technologies for bioactive materials and their industrial applications.

His current research focuses on developing a platform technology for improving enzyme thermal stability and bioavailability. 

​Yilun obtained a BE in Energy and Environmental Engineering at Zhejiang University (China) and a ME in Chemical Engineering at the University of Queensland before starting his PhD in AIBN.
