Haobo (Mike) Zhao specialises in characterising the spatio-temporal landscape of molecular and cellular pathology in neurodegeneration
Mike is currently a master's student of biotechnology and is worked in Ngo's group. He graduated from Monash University with an honors degree in Pharmaceutical Science, where he gained significant wet lab experience.
His honors project focused on functionally characterizing the profile of metabotropic glutamate receptor subtype 5 (mGlu5) for fragile X syndrome (FXS) and various central nervous system diseases.
After completing his honors degree, Mike developed an interest in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and began pursuing his master's degree at the University of Queensland.
