Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences Advanced (Honours) from Monash University, Xie He relocated to Brisbane to pursue a PhD degree under the supervision of Prof. Kris Thurecht at the Center of Advanced Imaging (CAI) and the Australian Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN).
