Intranasal drug delivery systems

Abdallah Almahmoud is a dedicated researcher specialising in the field of intranasal drug delivery systems. Currently pursuing a PhD, Almahmoud's work focuses on exploring innovative methods for delivering medications to the brain through the nasal cavity. His research includes investigating the use of multi-imaging agents such as Gallium-68 for PET imaging and Gadolinium for MRI imaging to study drug pathways and uptake mechanisms in the brain using in situ gel as a delivery vehicle. Almahmoud's research aims to understand this delivery route to overcome the blood-brain barrier and first-pass metabolism, facilitating rapid drug delivery in very small doses.
