Development of regenerative therapies to accelerate wound healing

Dr. Parinaz Ahangar is a research scientist with over 10 years of experience in biotechnology, cell and molecular biology, and regenerative medicine. She earned her PhD in Biomaterial Engineering and Nanomedicine from the University of South Australia in 2020. Her doctoral research focused on investigating the effects of bone marrow-derived stem cells and their secreted molecules on skin cells and the molecular pathways involved in cutaneous wound healing. She is Currently a Research Officer in Rowan Group at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology based at The University of Queensland, Brisbane Australia. Dr. Ahangar has made significant contributions to her field, authoring 18 peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals and presenting at more than 15 national and international conferences. Her work has been recognized with over 20 awards and scholarships, including the 2020 Young Investigator Award from the Australasian Wound & Tissue Repair Society, the UniSA Vice Chancellor's Scholarship, as well as various travel grants, and presentation and poster awards.
