Baode's PhD studies focus on an interdisciplinary program that integrates engineering biology, synthetic biology, metabolic engineering and bioinformatics to formulate strategies for the sustainable and economical biosynthesis of high-value pharmaceuticals in genetically engineered yeast. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from Tianjin University in China and completed his MPhil study at the University of Queensland in 2018.
