Antiviral coating material

In this project, the aim is to develop antiviral coating materials using nanocellulose and investigating the behaviour of the materials.

Divya has completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in chemistry in 2017 followed by completion of Bachelor of Science (Honours) from The University of Queensland with First Class Honours and awarded Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence. Her excellence at executing research has resulted in publication across two international publications, one high-impact factor journal (Inorganic Chemistry) for research conducted during her second-year undergraduate study, and another high-impact factor journal currently being finalised. She has presented her research at various symposiums, one of which resulted in receiving 3rd prize for best poster presentation.

She has worked within The University of Queensland since 2018 and at the Australian Catholic University Brisbane campus since 2020 as a chemistry laboratory demonstrator teaching undergraduates various chemistry experiments.
