Project summary
In this project, we use a mouse models of MND to decipher the mechanisms that lead to the degeneration of neurons, and muscle pathology in MND. Our laboratory work spans studies that focus on systemic physiology as well as cellular physiology. Our pre-clinical studies in mouse models are an important platform through which we also conduct the testing of potential therapeutic compounds for translation into the clinical setting.
The projects that fall under this umbrella involve collaborations with national research teams in Brisbane and Melbourne, as well as international research teams in Strasbourg and Rome.
