Study

Space travel results in many negative tissue level responses, bone loss being one well characterised effect. Microgravity research has produced a large amount of evidence on the cellular responses to microgravity. However, mechanobiology concepts suggest that gravity as a force is too small to be the root of these responses. We are trying to understand how cells grown in ‘space’, microgravity conditions, are modulated compared to normal gravity here on earth.
