Fatema Khatun specialises in polymer chemistry, nanomedicine, drug delivery, and cell biology.
Fatema has started PhD with the thesis title, "Assessment of Nanomedicine Efficacy and Mechanism using Metabolic Spectroscopic Imaging." Her research is elucidating the efficiency of drug loaded synthetic polymer to cancer cells. She is also exploring the metabolites of the drug molecules utilizing multiple cutting-edge technology including dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) NMR and cell imaging technology.
Fatema Khatun is a PhD student at AIBN working under the supervision of Associate Professor Idriss Blakey, group leader of the Blakey Group. Previously, she has completed bachelor’s degree in Molecular Medicine and Bioinformatics and Master degree in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering from UODA, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She also completed a Master’s in Public Health degree from Independent University, Bangladesh. She has got some laboratory work experiences from Korea National University of Transportation, South Korea, and Griffith University, Queensland, Australia.
