Nanotheranostics and molecular imaging for targeting specifc cancers
Heather completed her Bachelors of Applied Science specialising in Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging in 2003, from the University of Sydney. Working in clinical practice, she has worked in the public hospital and private sector, throughout different states of Australia and overseas. In 2021, Heather completed her Masters in Magnetic Resonance Technology, from the University of Queensland. In January 2023, Heather joined the Davis/Qiao groups as a PhD candidate at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN), working on the design and synthesis of gold and iron oxide mesoporous silica nanoparticles for controlled delivery of chemotherapy pharmaceuticals to diagnose and treat targeted colorectal cancer and pancreatic cancer, under the supervision of Dr Ruirui Qiao.
