Biologically derived volatile organic compounds using Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) for diagnostic applications.

Junaid Munawar is a first-year PhD student at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN), The University of Queensland, under the supervision of Associate Professor Idriss Blakey. His research focuses on the detection of biologically derived volatile organic compounds using Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) for diagnostic applications. He completed his Master’s degree in Chemistry from Beijing University of Chemical Technology and has also worked as a collaborative student at the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Outside of academia, Junaid enjoys playing football and cricket and interacting with new people.
