Project Summary

UQ has developed a strong relationship with the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders community. The AIBN has been instrumental in enabling indigenous science to be translated into indigenous enterprises. It is in the process of establishing the first national Indigenous Science Translation Centre, supported by the Federal and State government. This project aims to develop new regional biofermentation facilities, focusing on gas to fish and cattle feed, in close collaboration with the Myuma and the Dugalunji Aboriginal Corporation and Binarri-binyja Yarrawoo Aboriginal Corporations.
