Noushin is a virologist at the Australian Bioengineering and Nanotechnology Institute at the University of Queensland. Her research focuses on vaccine development against viruses.

Noushin completed her PhD at the University of Queensland in 2018 on the development of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccines. She spent a year at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute as a postdoctoral researcher in the Mucosal Immunology Group. In 2019, she returned to the University of Queensland as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow where she is conducting research on sub-unit vaccine development against viruses such as RSV, SARS-CoV-2, LASV, and HTLV-1. As a Research Fellow, she is currently focusing on establishing and validating the Rapid Response Vaccine Pipeline using the “Molecular Clamp” technology to address the threat of emerging viral pathogens.
