Project summary

Redflow’s Zinc Bromine Module (ZBM) is a mature commercial product. The technology has many advantages that will place it at the forefront of renewable energy solutions. This project is intended to extend the operational life of the ZBM and thereby significantly improve its Levelized Cost of Energy Storage (LCOES). A better understanding of the operational and material characteristics that lead to stress-induced degradation will allow the selection of superior component formulations and more benign operating conditions.
