Study
Elucidating genetic and environmentally induced hypomyelination
Diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimers disease but also viral infections are accompanied by a loss of white matter (myelin). This project will use human brain organoid models to investigate how oligodendrocytes, astrocytes, and microglia interact to mediate myelination and remyelination following injury.
