Advancing science, policy, and community action for a PFAS-free future.
The Australian PFAS Centre is proposed as a collaborative platform dedicated to PFAS research, translation, and regulation, serving as a national hub to coordinate activities that support affected communities.
Our Vision
A future where communities, ecosystems, and industries are free from the risks of PFAS contamination—achieved through collaborative research, informed regulation, and sustainable innovation.
Our Mission
To unite Australia’s leading researchers, government agencies, industry partners, and communities to advance PFAS detection, removal, and regulation. We aim to translate cutting-edge science into practical solutions that safeguard human health, restore the environment, and guide national policy.
National PFAS Symposium
In 2025 AIBN hosted the National PFAS Symposium, bringing together leading experts, researchers, and professionals to discuss the latest advancements in the study, management, and remediation of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
