Recently developed cancer immunotherapy is not effective for breast cancer treatment because of the immuno-suppressive tumour micro-environment. By understanding the complicated tumour micro-environment, we are developing innovative materials and strategies for advanced cancer therapy and immunotherapy. Our strategies have the potential to reduce side-effects and the overall cost in cancer treatment, which is beneficial for reducing the burden on patients and improving their quality of life.
